Community Service Programs (CSP)

Some Community Service Program members meet between the general business meetings in order to work on various projects.  These various workshops will be offered during the daytime and the evening.  Many of our members work, so we are trying to be flexible in offering a variety of times when each member can get involved.

  • Helping in our Communities:  CASA, Children's Home of NJ, Comminity Food Banks, Collect PJ's for Children's Shelters, EMBRELLA, Project Linus, give Birthday Bags and small gifts to shelters.

  • Helping in Schools:  Collect Back to School Supplies for shelters, food banks

  • Focus on Health:  Sponsor Alex Lemonade Stands.  Donate Pediatric medical equipment to local EMS; Food allergies, Autism NJ, Ronald McDonald House, Medication Safety

  • Focus on Safety:  UNICEF, Programs on Bullying, Rednose Day, Stuffed Bears to Police and Fire Dept.Promote Partnership for Drug Free NJ

  • Fostering Community Art:  Help other chairs make items for

      their projects; volunteer to decorate a float for a parade; donate books                    about Art to a Library; sponsor an Art Show; Club tours to Art Galleries or                  Museum; UPCYCLE - something old to something new; organize an art or                  music event

  • Evaluate:  evaluate your club's meeting; have members evaluate the meetings, fundraisers,; embrace change by sunsetting out, tried projected and try a new project

  • Awards:  Recognize each members' efforts; place members on Honors or Order of Lily; celebrate 25 and 50 ears.  Invite GFWC members to meetings.
